The Finley Awards season kicks off in January, celebrating excellence in education and character across Hoover City Schools. This tradition highlights outstanding teachers and students, honoring their dedication, impact, and exemplary character. With a series of events planned through March, the season begins with the “Teachers in the Trenches” awards ceremony in January and culminates in a special recognition for K-12 character winners in March at the Finley Center.
Three Hoover teachers will be honored for their work in the classroom at the “Teachers in the Trenches” awards ceremony, to be held on January 29. The committee will also acknowledge winners in February and host two events in March, including a recognition event for character winners in Grades K through 12 at the Finley Center on March 19 at 6 p.m.
