Operations

The HCS Operations Department works throughout the calendar year to maintain all schools and facilities across the district – some 3,000,000 square feet of buildings and property. General functions include plumbing, heating, cooling, refrigeration, water, gas, roofing, painting, paving, electrical, access control, security systems, and more. Many of these employees hold top-level certifications in their respective fields.

Approximately 41 department employees process more than 6,700 work orders across the school system each year.
