Kindergarten registration

Hoover City Schools is excited to welcome our upcoming kindergarten students! Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens March 2, 2026. If your child will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026, they are eligible to start kindergarten this fall. We can’t wait to welcome our upcoming kindergarteners to our HCS family!

To ensure a smooth registration process, please see the following required documents for new students:

Proof of residency (lease agreement or recorded deed)
Current utility bill (water, power, internet, or gas)
Birth certificate
Parent/Guardian Photo ID
State of Alabama Immunization Record
Custody documents (if applicable)
