What if I need to change how my student will go home?
We only need to be notified if there is a change in afternoon transportation.
This year we will be paperless. We ask that you send any change of transportation request to an email address specifically set up to handle absences and transportation changes. You will scan a signed note or snap a picture of the note and email it to email@example.com. We can not take a regular email it MUST have a signature on the note. Please make sure to include the following information on the note:
1. Transportation Change in the subject line of the email
2. Your child/children's name
3. Teacher name/ grade
4. Carpool #
Here is an example:
Sally Stokes in Mr. Richardson's 4th grade class needs to ride carpool today instead of the bus. Her carpool number is 999.
Your child CAN ONLY ride a bus they are assigned to, unless you have received permission from the transportation department and we would need confirmation of that change.
At this time if you have signed up to ride carpool as your main transportation in the afternoon you CAN NOT change to a bus rider, however if your main mode of transportation in the afternoon is the bus and you would like to ride carpool you may do so. This is so the buses can safely social distance the students.
If you do not have access to email you may also still call into the main office at (205) 439-3300 and we will be happy to help you with that change.
ALL CHANGES MUST BE IN BY 2 PM.
