ACT Results: Continued Area of Strength for HCS Students
HOOVER - Hoover City School District scored higher than the state average on every ACT test and, as a result, higher on the composite (overall) score. Additionally, HCS students on average scored higher than the national ACT composite score. See state-by-state results for the ACT exam.
The state of Alabama composite score is 18.9; the national average composite score is 20.7. The HCS composite score is 22.5. HCS retained its same score from 2018 to 2019 in Math with a score of 21.5. English increased by 0.2 (from 22.6 to 22.8) and Reading (from 22.7 to 22.9). HCS increased in Science by 0.1 (from 22.1 to 22.2). The district composite score increased by 0.1 from 22.4 to 22.5.

College Biology 49%
