Hoover High's Coach Josh Niblett Retires as Head Football Coach After 14 Years

(HOOVER, AL)- After serving the Hoover community for 14 years, Coach Josh Niblett met with his players and staff this morning to announce his retirement as the head football coach of Hoover High School at the end of December.


During his tenure at Hoover High School, Coach Niblett won six State Championships and had an overall record of 171-26. Niblett’s overall career record is 236-58.


The Hoover High School administration appreciates all that Coach Niblett has done for Hoover football and the Hoover Community. He has impacted countless student-athletes' lives and the Hoover family is forever grateful for the impact he has made in our city. We wish Coach Niblett the very best in his future endeavors. Hoover High School will work diligently to hire a new head coach by January 2022 and rest assured, the administration is committed to ensuring that the winning tradition of Hoover High School football will continue.
