Berry Science Teacher Finalist for Top Award

July 01, 2018

[BERRY] - Science teacher Kevin Pughsley stands among those vying to be named the nation's top math and science teachers.  The announcement came just days ago from the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (PAEMST), established by Congress in 1983.

Pughsley's application, along with those of other Alabama finalists, will be forwarded to the national level to be evaluated by a team of judges. Typically one teacher in each area is selected as a national awardee. The official notification comes later in 2018.
