Fourth Graders Honor Veterans

Fourth grade students at Greystone Elementary honored military veterans this November. These students put on a Veteran's Day program for all students at Greystone Elementary the morning of Thursday, November 8, 2018. They also performed for family members and friends that night following the PTA meeting. During the daytime and evening performances, many veterans attended and stood to be honored as their branch of the military was called. The fourth grade students also honored our military veterans by traveling to a veterans' retirement home in Pell City, Alabama. This annual event was very heartwarming for all involved. The students shared their music program and then went on to give thoughtful cards to each of the veterans in attendance. We are all so thankful for the great sacrifice that all veterans and their families have given for our freedom, and we were glad to honor them at these events in November. Thank you to our music teacher, Natalie Evans, and all four of our fourth grade teachers for helping students prepare for these events.
