HCS Students Find Employment Through ACT

2018 Academy of Craft Training Signees

17-May-2018 [HOOVER] - Several Hoover City Schools (HCS) students have accepted offers at major Birmingham-area companies following successful completion of the Academy of Craft Training. 

Hoover High School:
Caleb Nicholson- McInnis Construction
Jackson Sherrod- Marathon Electrical
Elijah Ponder- Brasfield & Gorie
Hector Colin- B.L. Harbert International

Spain Park High School:
Dewayne Longs- Summit Electrical
Caleb Foster- Comfort Systems USA

Two other Academy of Craft Training seniors, Austin Muir (SPHS) and D'Angelo Dewitt (HHS), were offered employment yet have decided to accept college scholarships at this time.  For the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, forty-five Hoover City Schools students will enroll in programs at the Academy of Craft Training.

"As the number of students interested in these skilled training programs continues to increase, the importance of partnerships and new programs to address student interests are key for the success of students," Natalie Noble, Hoover City Schools CTE (Career & Technical Education) Specialist, said.

Hoover City Schools has a great partnership with the highly competitive, highly successful Academy of Craft Training.
