• Enrollment open to all children four years of age on or before 9/1/21* who are residents of the state of Alabama (children who are eligible for kindergarten are ineligible)
• Enrollees must provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate and proof of residence - either a current utility bill or copy of a lease or mortgage (may be uploaded into the online pre-registration site or submitted directly to the local school)
• HCS Zoning Requirements: must live in the city of Hoover; Pre-K program must be located in your middle school feeder pattern. (Ex. If you are zoned for Berry Middle School, your child is eligible for the Pre-K programs at Greystone and Rocky Ridge because those schools feed into Berry Middle School.)
• HCS Pre-K Classrooms in Jefferson County: Green Valley ES, Gwin ES, Rocky Ridge ES, and South Shades Crest ES. HCS Pre-K Classroom in Shelby County: Greystone ES. Pre-K school hours: 7:30am-2:15pm
• No Registration Fee for this program. There will be a monthly tuition charge. (The 20-21 tuition was $40 per month.)
• Upon enrollment, child’s immunization record and other required documents must be provided
• No child will be denied participation on basis of income, sex, race, color, national origin, or disability
