Employees who work for Hoover City Schools yet reside outside of Hoover city limits, may be eligible to bring their children to Hoover City Schools. These employees are considered Employee Out-of-District (EOD). If you would like to complete an EOD application, please complete this form.

Employees who work for Hoover City Schools and reside within Hoover city limits, and would like their children to go to a Hoover school other than where they are zoned, may request an Employee Student Transfer (EST). If you would like to complete an EST application, please complete this form.

Transfer provisions in federal court orders (May 2018 and July 2018) govern all of our school system's transfer types (racial desegregation, substantial hardship, employee) for the upcoming 2023-2024 School Year. 

The transfer application deadline is April 15, 2023.
