OVERVIEW
Four-year, Alabama public high school located on 100 acres in the city of Hoover, a commercial/residential suburb of Birmingham. Spain Park High School opened in 2001, and the charter class graduated in May 2004.

ACADEMIC AND ATHLETIC DISTINCTION
In its 19-year history, Spain Park High School has won 27 state athletic championships; including the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015 Boys Golf State Championship; 2012 Boys Indoor Track State Championship; 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2011 Girls Soccer State Championship; Boys Baseball State Championship 2015 and Girls Basketball State Championship in 2018 and 2019, Boys Soccer 2021 and Boys Tennis 2021. Football and Girls Softball both finished as State Runner-ups in the 2015/2016 season. Spain Park High School also holds the distinction of having the first-ever Alabama State Boys Bowling Champions in 2016 and 2017 as well as the first ever E-sports Champions in 2019 respectively .
Spain Park High School is the 2008-2009 recipient of The Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence (U.S. Department of Education Secondary Schools Recognition Program) and the 2008-2009 Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Lighthouse Award Winner.
In 2007, Spain Park High School was awarded the State of Alabama Attorney General’s Safe Schools Initiative Award. In 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Spain Park High School was recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of the “Top High Schools in the United States.” In 2014, Spain Park High School was recognized by ACT for College and Career Readiness and ranked among the top 5 nationally.
SPAIN PARK ACADEMIES
Spain Park High School offers academies with dynamic courses of study designed to help students hone skills in particular fields of study. These academies include Engineering Academy, Fine Arts Academy, Law Academy, Finance Academy and Health Sciences Academy.
