• The Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship

    Deadline-January 15, 2024

    Each interested student is invited to write a one-page essay stating why he or she plans a career in government service including any inspiration to be derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of the Delaware. This essay must be accompanied by a recommendation from the high school principal or guidance counselor evaluating the student’s achievements, along with transcripts, national testing scores, and other supporting information of the applicant’s choice as described in the Official Rules.

    BLSA Thomas E. Huey Jr. Memorial Scholarship,

    Due Date-12/31/23

    BLSA, a Chapter of NALS, Inc., an association for legal professionals, will award its Thomas E. Huey Jr. Memorial Scholarship for $1,000.

    Applications are based upon 50% financial need, 40% grad point average (3.0 GPA) and 10% achievements and accomplishments.

    Applications must include a letter of recommendation from a business education teacher or career counselor.

     Our website was developed solely for the purpose of helping students locate and apply for scholarships.  We are trying to improve the students’ chances for success.  The site is free and we charge nothing for the information or the application.

    Smith Scholarship, Due Date-1/13/24

    The Smith Scholarship Foundation gives high performing, low-income students who have helped others in their community, or their families, a chance to receive a college education. 

    Each application requires personal background information, transcripts, description of school and community involvement.  Three 300-500-word essays and a 500-word minimum personal statement.  Letters of recommendation answering specific questions about the applicant are required.  Students may also add optional submissions of written works, art, and upload vocal, music or dramatic pieces if they desire at their sole discretion.  Such additional submissions are completely voluntary.  To apply or for more information visit: www.smithscholarships.com. 

    Big Sun Scholarship, Due Date-6/19/24

    The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in or what their capacity in that sport is.
    The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community..

    Alabama Grocers Education Scholarship, Due Date-2/15/24

    Who is Eligible?

    High School Senior, College Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors who are:

    1. Sons and daughters of full-time employees of firms which are members of AGA. The employee must have been employed for at least 2 years as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded. Parents must be employed with the AGA member firm at the time the scholarship checks are awarded to remain eligible.

    2. Part-time student employees of firms that are members of AGA. The student must have worked an average of 15 hours a week for at least 6 months as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded. Students must be employed with the AGA member firm at the time the scholarship checks are awarded to remain eligible.

    Both types of awards may be used at any accredited non-profit college or university in the United States.  Recipients may transfer from one college to another and retain the awards.  Winners of these scholarships may reapply in subsequent years if they or their parents continue to be employed by an AGA member firm.
