- You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the shortcode. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Text (SMS) messages: Reply START to "60680" from the phone line that has been opted out for non-emergency messages (phone number must be in iNow). Reply STOP to any Blackboard text or to "60680" for non-emergency messages. Opting out from text messages will opt you out from ALL HCS text messages, including those about school emergencies.
Phone calls: To receive HCS automated phone notifications, your phone number must also be in Powerschool. Contact your school's registrar for assistance. Receiving unwanted calls? Contact Hoover City Schools at 205-439-1000. Stopping phone calls will stop you from ALL HCS automated phone calls, including those about school emergencies.
Emails: Click the unsubscribe link from any email received. This opts you out of ALL HCS Blackboard emails, including those pertaining to school emergencies.
