Our Goal: The School Health department strives to develop and maintain a model program of health maintenance and health education for the purpose of maximizing the learning potential of all Hoover students.
Our Nurses: The Hoover Board of Education employs one district nurse to coordinate health services for all schools. Each school has a nurse on site during school hours. School nurses administer medications, assist students with chronic health problems, assist with school screenings, monitor for communicable diseases, and provide health education information.
