Exploratory Art 6
Students will explore the elements and principles of design through different materials in this nine-week course. We will work on drawing, painting, and sculpture projects. Lessons will incorporate a general overview of media, vocabulary, techniques, styles of art, and related artists.
Art 7
Art 7 is a nine-week course. We will focus on the elements and principles of design. Techniques in pencil and color will be reinforced. Students will work through drawing, painting, and sculpture problems and exercises.
Art 8
Art 8 is a semester-long course. Students will further develop techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture. Each lesson will incorporate the study of a particular medium, appropriate vocabulary, techniques, styles of art, and artists related to the medium. This class is designed for students who were enthusiastic about art in the seventh grade and want to continue to explore their artistic style.
