MealViewer [click image below] allows you to see all offerings for breakfast and lunch across Hoover City Schools. Additionally, you can see all nutritional information for food simply by clicking on the item.
Our menus have been planned to meet federal regulations including, but not limited to, age groups, and portion sizes. Over the course of each week, our menus meet caloric, meat/meat alternate, and grain ranges. Additionally, menus meet/exceed the required vegetable subgroups consisting of dark green, red/orange, legumes, starchy, and other. Fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily.
Menus are the same at these levels at the Elementary, Middle, and Intermediate school levels, yet slight differences in portion sizes may exist to meet the age/grade group calorie requirements.
Our school cafeterias participate in the "Offer vs. Serve" meal program.
A student must take a minimum of 1/2 cup of fruit or vegetable as part of the lunch meal, but can decline any 2 of the other items offered to be considered a complete lunch.
A complete breakfast or lunch is required to meet the Free/Reduced Meal Program reimbursements
