Hoover BOE Approves Sale of Berry HS to Vestavia Hills BOE

Final approval was given for the sale of the old Berry High School property in Hoover, to the Vestavia Hills Board of Education.

The total cost is $11 million.

While the sale isn't final yet, ABC 33/40 is learning more about how the property would be used. In a statement, Vestavia Hills Superintendent Dr. Sheila Phillips said the Berry campus, and available space at other facilities, may allow the district to reconfigure the middle schools into junior high schools.

She emphasized the plan is not yet approved and could change. Read the full statement to the community below:
