01-Oct-2015 (RFBMS) - The 2015 R.F. Bumpus Middle School "Color Run" proved a HUGE success for the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) - raising a lot of money for the school, all the while providing students, faculty and staff a great physical outlet during the school day.

Colored corn starch proved the magic ingredient for this fun event, which took place Friday, October 2.  Hoover City Schools Superintendent Dr. Kathy Murphy visited the school for the start of the race and helped kick off the event with RFBMS Principal Dr. Tamala Maddox.  More than 600 students, faculty, staff and community members participated in the Color Run, which began on the school campus and circled through the lower parking lot of the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium ("The Met").

Organizers were very pleased with the success of this year's Color Run and have already begun discussions on how to build on that success for 2016.
