02-12-2013 (HCS) - HCS will conduct a survey February 27th thru March 8th called Pride. It’s a federally-mandated survey measuring illicit drug use and violence among our sixth-twelfth graders. This anonymous data proves valuable in helping our school system plan drug and violence prevention curriculum for our school and community.

For our system, participating schools include Berry Middle School; Bumpus Middle School; Simmons Middle School; Crossroads Alternative School; Brock's Gap Intermediate School [6th Grade only]; Hoover High School; Spain Park High School.  Building-level contacts include:

Helena Young – Spain Park High School

Jennifer McCombs – Hoover High School

Rachel Sizemore – Berry Middle School

Brennita Keith – Bumpus Middle School

Altrice Gloor / Winnie Davis – Simmons Middle School

Ellie Jackson – Brock’s Gap Intermediate School

Kathryn Stewart – Crossroads School

Again, this is an anonymous survey. If you don’t want your child to participate, fill out the ‘Opt-Out’ [English and Espanol] letter posted on the right side of this page.  If you do not have access to download the letter, you may pick up a copy from the front office of your child’s school.
