12-17-2012 (HCS) - Coach Chad Eads of Hoover High School has been chosen by the Alabama Football Coaches Association (AFCA) as the 6A Assistant Coach of the Year.  This honor is voted on by other 6A coaches throughout Alabama.

"Coach Eads does much more than coach the Buccaneers' offensive line at Hoover High School and it is very evident not only to our Hoover family but also his peers. He goes above and beyond and is so deserving of this prestigious honor," Hoover High School athletic director Myra Miles said.

Eads, who teaches driver's ed classes at Hoover High School, has been with Hoover City Schools since 2007.  He will be honored at the AFCA banquet in Montgomery Jan. 26, 2013.
