1-NOV-2012 (HCS) - Friday, Nov. 2, was the first day back at school for our SPHS Law Academy students after being stranded in NYC (Brooklyn) for more than a week due to Hurricane Sandy.  The group flew back into Birmingham International Airport Thursday night on a Delta flight.  Parents, school administrators, teachers and media were all on hand to greet the students and faculty sponsor Libby Day as they arrived back in Alabama.

The SPHS Law Academy was in NYC for the Empire Mock Trial Competition.  Though, ahead of time, there was only a 30% chance of rain forecast for NYC during the weekend of the event, Hurricane Sandy changed all that.
