All vacancies for Hoover City Schools (teaching, administrative, custodial, etc.) are posted on the Alabama State Department of Education's Teach in Alabama website. These vacancies are also posted at each of our locations (schools, operations department, transportation department, etc.) for a minimum of seven (7) days. An application must be completed online at the Teach in Alabama link in order to be considered for any vacancy.

If you are recommended for hire, other documentation may be required including original transcripts, copy of driver’s license and Social Security card, and proof of background clearance. New hire packets can be obtained at the HCS BOE located at: 2810 Metropolitan Way, Hoover, Ala. 35243.
Classified positions are jobs that do not require a teaching certificate. Examples include personnel in maintenance, child nutrition program, bus drivers, instructional support aides, secretaries and other support staff.
