Our menus have been planned to meet new federal regulations including, but not limited to, age groups and portion sizes. Over the course of each week, our menus meet calorie, meat/meat alternate, and grain ranges, and at least if not more of the required vegetable subgroups consisting of dark green, red/orange, legumes, starchy and other. Fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily.
Our school cafeterias participate in the "Offer vs. Serve" meal program. A student must take a serving of fruit or vegetable as part of the lunch meal, but can decline any 2 of the other items offered to be considered a complete lunch. A complete breakfast or lunch is required to meet the Free/Reduced Meal Program reimbursements.
