Operations/Maintenance Division

The HCS Operations and Maintenance departments work throughout the calendar year to maintain all schools and facilities across the district – some 3,000,000 square feet of buildings and property. General functions include plumbing, heating, cooling, refrigeration, water, gas, roofing, painting, paving and more. Many of these employees hold top-level certifications in their respective fields.

Approximately 35 department employees process more than 6,400 work orders across the school system each year.
